One corporate day I googled "Boards of Canada podcasts". I found Take Pills Die.......
I was educated and schooled in what web 2.0 is and can become. take pills die. Andrew Cauthen is one prolific mf. He makes ambient tracks. Use it for what you will. I've been listening for about six months and it would be unfair to compare him to other ethereal and experimental artists out there. He deserves his own category. Notice his use of myspace, creative commons, feedburner, etc. Notice his use of tools available to transform our world.
On a side note check out his one video Turn Up the Suck. There is something quite poignant and captivating about this low-fi low-tech vid. The skater aspect is the tip of the Hemingway iceberg. More than any music video I've ever seen it has an ambient and romantic interpretation of what America is, or rather the core that is being forgotten and hidden. Cauthen's work restores my faith.
